No. 48 Murray Hill Square

Architect Al Bol designed this building using recurrent octagonal shapes on the windowed cupola, chimney, and porch columns. He developed the idea from an English architect, Fowler, who lived in the 1800s and was intrigued by the idea of building an octagonal house. Al felt the setting was perfect for it.
